     Better user-friendly interface

The user interface has the look and feel of a PC/MAC based email client. You will be able to manage your emails with ease with this new interface and the associated features.

     Newer email server hardware

Not only does EpicMAIL have a new look, behind the scenes is a new email server with larger capacity hard drives and greater processing speeds. This new hardware allows Elkhart.com email to double the amount of email storage space. Users now have 50MB of storage space. The EpicMAIL interface graphically shows each user the amount of email space used. In this example a green progress bar shows this user has used about half of their 50mb. The progress bar will turn red when the mailbox size gets closer to the 50mb limit and this is a warning to the user to delete emails.

Better SPAM Control Management and “No Charge SPAM control”

The Epic Touch email SPAM control software is now a no charge service to elkhart.com email users.  As in the past, the SPAM control software resides on Epic Touch’s email server and for each email that is received by the server for an elkhart.com user the software performs a series of tests to determine if the email is a SPAM email or a legitimate email.

When the SPAM control software test an email and it determines that the email does not have the characteristics of being SPAM, then the email is placed in the user’s INBOX. When the user uses an email client, like Outlook Express, the email will be delivered to the user.

If the software indentifies the email as SPAM, the software will add the prefix of [SPAM?] to the subject line of the email. Then, the software will move the email to the users Junk E-Mail folder.

By moving the SPAM email to this folder, a user using an email client, like Outlook Express, will not Text Box: Emails with [SPAM?] in the subject line will NOT be delivered to your PC based email client!

receive the email in the email client inbox.

To read/view emails that have been identified as [SPAM?], the user will have to access the Junk E-Mail folder through the EpicMAIL WebAccess.

If a user finds a legitimate email that is marked as [SPAM?] in the Junk E-Mail folder, the user can add the user to their EpicMail WebAccess contact list. The next email from this user will not go through the series of SPAM tests but the email will be delivered to the users INBOX and if the user uses an email client, the email will be delivered to the user.

Any SPAM indentified email a user wants to keep can be moved to the INBOX so the email can be delivered to the user’s PC base email client.

Text Box: The Junk E-Mail folder will have only 7 days of emails. Emails older than 7 days, in this folder, will be deleted.Over time the Junk E-Mail folder will grow larger and larger in size which would cause a user’s mailbox to reach the 50MB storage limit. Epic Touch has implemented an automatic solution to this ever increasing Junk E-Mail folder. Every night each user’s Junk E-Mail folder will be automatically purged of SPAM emails that are older than 7 days. This 7 day window allows a user to access the EpicMAIL website and review SPAM identified emails to locate any emails that had been mistakenly marked as [SPAM?].
