Point Rock Golf Club

“Hidden in the Southwest Corner of Kansas you will find Point Rock Golf Club. Point Rock is the newest of the nine-hole golf courses that have been built in Southwest Kansas. Point Rock get its name from the Point of Rocks area Northwest of the City of Elkhart in the Cimarron National Grasslands. Morton County, who owns the golf course, has totally rebuilt it. The project, which started in July of 1998, has brought a new state of the art irrigation system to water the new Bentgrass Greens and Bluegrass Fairways.”

Recreation Commission

The USD 218 Recreation Commission offers a variaty of sports season for children, teens and adults. Also, the commision provide sport camps opportunities.

Cimmarron National Grassland

“Opportunities on the Cimarron include hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, photography and bird watching. There are hiking trails, ten fishing ponds, three picnic areas and one campground. Also located on the Grassland are twenty-three miles of the Santa Fe National Historic Trail. This is the longest portion of the trail located on public land. Another important recreation opportunity is the trails and areas for riding ATVs. The Cimarron NG is one of only a few designated areas within the vicinity that allows this type of use.”

Morton County Historical Society Museum

“The Museum was established in 1987, and though the people of Morton County are the true history makers, staff and volunteers are extremely proud of their accomplishments to preserve and conserve the past. The museum is a tribute to those who live … and a memorial to those who have passed on.  A visit to the Morton County Historical Society Museum is an exploration in history.

Special Care Unit

The Special Care Unit is “specifically for those who are experiencing significant memory loss and confusion or behavior problems. For example, if your family member is having problems with wandering, pacing, repeating questions, is unable to focus their attention or keep their attention on any one task at a time, they might be the type of resident that could benefit from our facility.”

Assisted Living

This faciliy consists “of 14 assisted living apartments and 6 independent living apartments with spacious living, dining and conversational areas and an in house beauty salon. Our basic resident services are included in the monthly fee and personalized services offered for an additional fee.

Morton County Care Center

“Adjusting to new surroundings is never easy, especially for those who are leaving their homes and moving into a nursing facility. At Morton County Care Center, we pride ourselves in making the adjustments as easy as possible for both the resident and family members.”

Geriatric Psychiatric Unit

The hospital based “Geropsychiatric Unit provides services to the geriatric patient who needs inpatient psychiatric care in a structured, therapeutic environment. The services are provided under the supervision of psychiatrist, Olivia Iway, M.D. The focus of the care is multidisciplinary in nature.”

Dr. Steven Graham has been proudly serving the Liberal and Elkhart, KS communities for 14+ years! Dr. Graham is available in Elkhart on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
